How to Repair an XBox DVD Drive
The Xbox video game console uses a DVD drive to play game discs. A dirty or clouded lens on the DVD drive's laser will prevent game discs from being read correctly. The games will not load or malfunction during play. You can fix the DVD drive by cleaning the lens, although opening the Xbox will void the Microsoft warranty.
